On June 20, hailstorms occurred in the towns of Baoshi, Xuetian, and other places in Tuquan County, Hinggan League, Inner Mongolia. Meanwhile, heavy rain with hail and gusts above level 12 also hit Baicheng City, Jilin Province.
A business owner surnamed Wang in Baoshi Town, Tuquan County, Hinggan League, told the Chinese media Jimu News that a hailstorm struck at 1:30 p.m. on June 20 and lasted around 10 minutes.
The awnings and colored steel tiles of nearby stores were damaged. Vehicles parked in the nearby streets were smashed.
Ms. Wang said the hailstones were as big as eggs. They had a diameter of 6 centimeters (about 2 inches). [Video]
A villager in Xuetian Town, Tuquan County, said that around 2 p.m. that day, hail began to fall in the surrounding villages. Crops in several places were damaged.
As of 10 p.m. on June 20, Hongshan Village, Wanbao Town, Taonan City, under the jurisdiction of Baicheng City, suffered from a rainfall of 52.7 millimeters (about 2 inches).

In addition, hail weather hit Taonan City and six towns. The largest hailstones were up to 4 centimeters (about 1.5 inches) in diameter. Many crops were damaged.
