On Saturday, November 19, during the annual leadership meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition held in Las Vegas, important Republican and wealthy figures attended. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley criticized the CCP in her speech. Among the guests at the reception that night included a group with Chinese Ambassador Qin Gang.
At the meeting, Haley was the first politician to speak. When talked about the threat of China’s invasion of Taiwan, she said, “China is the number one threat to our national security.” She also criticized the growing threat the Chinese regime poses to global security.
The coalition’s annual leadership event, featured prominent Republican figures, conservative Jewish activists and donors, and speakers from the Party’s potential 2024 presidential candidates, including former President Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSanti and Nikki Haley.
Qin Gang and his aides came to the gala dinner and “socialized” with other guests. Breitbart News reported, it is not clear whether Qin was an invited or uninvited guest. Guests who spoke to Chinese officials told Breitbart News that the Chinese officials told them that the presence of Qin and others was “completely coincidental.”
In addition to Haley denouncing the CCP as a security threat to the United States, former President Trump talked about plans to bring manufacturing jobs from China back to the United States during his speech. It remains unclear whether Haley was aware that the Chinese ambassador and others were also present at the reception.
Breitbart News said that if Qin is trying to entice Republican politicians, activists, and prominent donors, the CCP is not the first country to do so. Under the Trump administration, Qatar tried to improve relations with the United States, largely without success.
Haley also told the guests that the Republicans’ lackluster results in the midterm elections were not the fault of “one person (Trump)” but rather the fault of the entire Party.
As for whether she will run for president in 2024, Haley said, “Now that the midterms are over, I’ll look at it in a serious way.”
“If my family and I decide to continue our life of service, we will put 1,000% into it and we’ll finish it.” Haley was the youngest governor of the United States. She added, For now, I’ll say this. I’ve won tough primaries and tough general elections. I’ve been the underdog every single time. When people underestimate me, it’s always fun. But I’ve never lost an election. And I’m not gonna start now.“
